How we use cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences. We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used.

Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a simple, easy-to-use tool that helps website owners measure how users interact with website content.

As a user navigates between web pages, Google Analytics provides website owners JavaScript tags (libraries) to record information about the page a user has seen, for example the URL of the page. The Google Analytics JavaScript libraries use HTTP Cookies to “remember” what a user has done on previous pages and interactions with the website.

You can opt out of Google Analytics cookies

Hotjar

Hotjar cookies are used to help us understand how users interact with the website. This gives us information such as how much time people spend on a page, and what they choose to click on so that we can see what’s working well and what isn’t.

Hotjar only captures and stores a truncated version of your IP address. It is captured and stored in an anonymized format by suppressing the last octet so your full IP address never reaches Hotjar’s servers and we never have access to it. Geographic location is only by Country.

You can opt out of Hotjar

Security

We take security measures to protect your information including:

– limiting access to our buildings to those that we believe are entitled to be there (by use of keycode or keys);

– implementing access controls to our information, password protected files, encrypted servers and SSL certificated websites;

– never ask you for your passwords;

– advising you never to enter your account number or password into an email or after following a link from an email.
